Zipline’s first flight was in Rwanda on October 16th, 2016. Rwanda now has the world’s first national drone delivery system. This partnership led to a 51% reduction in maternal mortality in Rwanda, a 22% reduction in childhood malnutrition, and catapulted Zipline’s growth across four countries in Africa, and into the U.S.
