Against the record
Wisk Generation 6, from Wisk Aero, is at stage 1 of 5 on our ladder: demo only. Shown in videos or staged events; no units with customers. The latest milestone on its record is from 10 Aug 2026: Boeing agreed to hand Wisk, together with drone maker Insitu and SkyGrid, to Archer Aviation in exchange for a stake of nearly 20% in Archer. Boeing keeps access to Wisk's self-flying technology.
This video comes from the maker's own channel, and makers show their robots at their best. The stage above comes from dated public records, not from the video.
From the video's description
Surrogate flight days mean hands-on work in the field. Matt Kissinger (Flight Test Engineer) and Troy Leveron (Senior Staff Test Pilot) help us collect real-world flight data to validate our perception and decision making for autonomy. Using that data, we can turn a single flight test into thousands of tests in simulation, giving us more opportunities to refine the intelligent algorithms that enable autonomy.
