Remote operator
A person somewhere else who can guide or steer a robot through a screen.
Many robots that look independent get help from people far away. Some remote staff only give advice when a robot is unsure; others steer it directly, which is also called teleoperation. Makers don't always say which, or how often it happens, so we flag it on every robot's page.
