SV Darmstadt 98: first soccer club to deliver fan merch by drone
Against the record
Wingcopter 198, from Wingcopter, is at stage 4 of 5 on our ladder: paying customers. Delivered and paid for, beyond pilots. The latest milestone on its record is from 14 Sept 2026: Wingcopter launched the Wingcopter 262, a military reconnaissance drone it says can stay in the air for up to six hours.
This video comes from the maker's own channel, and makers show their robots at their best. The stage above comes from dated public records, not from the video.
From the video's description
Fan merchandise from Bundesliga club SV Darmstadt 98 is now being flown to its supporters in Odenwald by Wingcopter drone. The club is the first soccer club in the world to deliver popular items from its own store to its fans by delivery drone. This is made possible thanks to a cooperation as part of the "LieferMichel" pilot project.
