Meet Spencer: Hutchinson Health's laboratory specimen delivery robot
Against the record
Relay, from Relay Robotics (formerly Savioke), is at stage 4 of 5 on our ladder: paying customers. Delivered and paid for, beyond pilots. The latest milestone on its record is from 30 Sept 2026: Relay put two robots, named Dash and Daisy, into HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, Florida, to carry lab samples, pharmacy orders and medicines.
This video comes from the maker's own channel, and makers show their robots at their best. The stage above comes from dated public records, not from the video.
From the video's description
At Minnesota's Hutchinson Health Hospital, Spencer is helping their healthcare workers by delivering lab specimens all day, everyday. Many healthcare organizations are turning to robots to not only help with workforce shortages but also to reallocate human work hours into what matters most - directly helping patients. Registered nurse at Hutchinson Health, Kristi Hanson, explains, "We have minimal nurses, and we want to be here for our patients." Watch this featured spotlight here or directly at CBS News' website.
