Against the record
NEO, from 1X Technologies, is at stage 2 of 5 on our ladder: pre-orders. Orders or deposits taken; not delivered. The latest milestone on its record is from 13 May 2026: In May 2026, 1X still planned to deliver NEO to its first private buyers in the US by the end of 2026. The first robots were working in 1X's own factory.
This video comes from the maker's own channel, and makers show their robots at their best. The stage above comes from dated public records, not from the video.
From the video's description
Behind the curtain of our latest Redwood Mobility shoot. At 1X, we work harder than most can imagine. The days are long. The problems are hard—some are even sitting right on the frontier of human understanding. But the love everyone at 1X puts into bringing forth the emergence of humanoid robots in the home, and the fun we have together working toward achieving the mission, makes the entire journey packed with lifelong memories. We are sure this mission isn’t for everyone. But to those who feel called to join us—please do. We’re right over here in Palo Alto. Careers: https://www.1x.tech/careers
