Against the record

LightStrike, from Xenex Disinfection Services, is at stage 5 of 5 on our ladder: regulator-cleared or mass market. Cleared where approval applies, or widely sold. The latest milestone on its record is from Jan 2026: Health Canada registered the LightStrike6 robot for sale to healthcare facilities in Canada.

This video comes from the maker's own channel, and makers show their robots at their best. The stage above comes from dated public records, not from the video.

From the video's description

In this Ask the Xpert, we're discussing NDM-CRE, a resistant pathogen that's becoming a major concern for hospitals worldwide. This pathogen is near pan resistant; it spreads quickly and leads to a high mortality rate. Identification is tricky, requiring specialized testing, which can be costly. The good news is that LightStrike+ is validated to inactivate this pathogen with short 2-minute UV cycles. Watch the video to learn more.
