Against the record
LightStrike, from Xenex Disinfection Services, is at stage 5 of 5 on our ladder: regulator-cleared or mass market. Cleared where approval applies, or widely sold. The latest milestone on its record is from Jan 2026: Health Canada registered the LightStrike6 robot for sale to healthcare facilities in Canada.
This video comes from the maker's own channel, and makers show their robots at their best. The stage above comes from dated public records, not from the video.
From the video's description
Cyclospora cayetanensis is a microscopic parasite that can contaminate fresh produce and cause significant health issues, particularly during multi-state outbreaks linked to imported foods. While it cannot spread directly from person to person, contaminated water and inadequate sanitation can introduce Cyclospora into the food supply. Symptoms include watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, and fatigue, often beginning about a week after exposure. To reduce risk, it is vital to wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly and cook produce to safe temperatures. Stay informed about food recalls and seek medical advice if experiencing symptoms, especially if recently exposed to fresh produce.
