HumanoidsFull-size humanoid
H1 and H2
The H1 and the newer H2 are Unitree's full-size humanoid robots that walk on two legs. The H1 is about as tall as an average adult (180 cm, or 5 ft 11 in). The Robot Report, 15 May 2024

Every milestone is dated and links to the page it comes from. Lines marked company-reported rest on the maker's own word.

03Safety and incidents
What has gone wrong
A video showed an H1 hanging from a crane during a test, thrashing about and making the crane crash, narrowly missing nearby technicians. The person handling it said the robot's whole-body control software was running while its feet were off the ground. Interesting Engineering, 22 July 2025
Security researchers found a flaw in the Bluetooth setup of several Unitree robots, including the H1, that could let a nearby attacker take control and spread to other Unitree robots. Unitree later said most fixes were done. IEEE Spectrum, 25 Sept 2025
How we placed it
The rule, not an opinion
Stages are worked out by published rules from the dated milestones above. We never rate robots, and no maker can pay to change a stage.
- 5
Regulator-cleared or mass market
A regulator has cleared it where approval applies: FDA clearance or approval for a medical robot, a permit to run with no one aboard for a self-driving vehicle, or an FAA approval for routine drone flights. Or: Widely sold: sales in the hundreds of thousands, or a product category you can buy in ordinary shops.
- 4
Paying customersThis robot
Delivered to customers who pay for it, beyond a trial, or a paid service the public can use.
Placed by: Unitree sold 5,500 humanoid robots in 2025, across all its humanoid models, about a third of humanoid sales worldwide. Most went to research and education buyers (2025); The H1 had a list price of $90,000 for the basic version (May 2024).
- 3
Pilot
Working with a named customer in a real setting, as a trial.
- 2
Pre-orders
Orders, reservations or deposits taken, with nothing delivered yet.
- 1
Demo only
Shown in videos, staged events or a factory, with no units working for customers.
What we couldn't confirm. Unitree's own H2 page lists a price of $29,900 (before tax and shipping), with no release date. We found no source on where H1 or H2 robots work or how many have sold; the 5,500 figure covers all Unitree humanoids.
