Atlas' Journey to FIFA World Cup 2026™ | Boston Dynamics
Against the record
Atlas (electric), from Boston Dynamics, is at stage 1 of 5 on our ladder: demo only. Shown in videos or staged events; no units with customers. The latest milestone on its record is from 21 Sept 2026: Boston Dynamics opened a training center for Atlas inside Hyundai's Metaplant America campus in Georgia.
This video comes from the maker's own channel, and makers show their robots at their best. The stage above comes from dated public records, not from the video.
From the video's description
Following Atlas' first-of-its-kind live performance at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, we caught up with Seth Davis, senior program manager, to learn how this demonstration came together and what it takes to succeed in the field (and on the pitch).
